Born and bred in New York, I went to a small, private bilingual school in the suburbs of New York City. My French mother and American father prized sharing both their languages and cultures with their children, and as I grew up I was equally comfortable in both countries, moving effortlessly back and forth. I moved to France in 1997 to study medicine, and after getting my degree in 2007 and practicing emergency medicine in Champagne Ardenne, I settled with my family in Strasbourg in 2015 in order to give my four children the opportunity to attend international schools and benefit from the same openness I had. As I found that local options offered varying degrees of essentially linguistics programs, I decided that a truly multicultural education better met the aspirations I have for my children. The vibrant and diverse community I found in Strasbourg inspired me to devote more time and energy to this project, with a vision of developing educational opportunities for all children.
